Queen of the Night
Kaleidos Queen of the Night Cloud Lab Lip Clay ($12.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a deep, purpled-burgundy with cooler undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage in one layer, which could be built up to full coverage with a second layer, but you’ll want to wait for the first layer to dry down (or else blot prior to putting on the second layer).
The formula took about 10 minutes to fully mattify and become transfer-resistant. The texture was smooth, lightweight, and mousse-like with a silicone glide, but it was very prone to settling into my lip lines and visibly clung to imperfections in my lips (Despite being one of the last shades to be swatched, so my lips were very exfoliated!). It stayed on well for over six hours, left a faint stain behind, and felt non-drying over time.

Formula Overview
$12.00/0.08 oz. – $150.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a “cream-to-powder texture” that is “kiss-proof once set” with a “silky and weightless” feel on the lips. The brand didn’t specifically make any claims about pigmentation in their description, but the promotional swatches included at the point of purchase show fully opaque coverage across the board.
They have a very lightweight, mousse-like texture that was very lightweight, velvety, and smooth with good spreadability. The applicator held a good amount of product without being too generous, as I did not feel like I had to wipe off excess. They took a few minutes to dry down, and the dry down time varied a little between some shades. They were forgiving of most lip texture and weren’t too prone to emphasizing lip lines or settling into them.
Most shades had opaque color coverage in one layer of product. With deeper shades, two layers tended to be better for full, even coverage, despite the shades themselves being quite pigmented in a single layer, but they were more prone to spreading and diffusing unevenly. The shades tended to dry down within 15 minutes with some doing so within five minutes to a more transfer-resistant finish.
The formula wore between four and eight hours on me with deeper, reddish shades lasting longer and leaving subtle stains behind. They felt non-drying over time. I did not notice any scent or taste.

Scorpion Fruit
Kaleidos Scorpion Fruit Cloud Lab Lip Clay ($12.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a deep, purpled-black with cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that was best applied in thin layers with the second layer applied after the first layer had a chance to fully dry down (about five minutes).
The liquid lipstick had a smooth, velvety feel that was very lightweight, almost airy, and didn’t emphasize lip texture, though it settled a bit into my deeper lip lines and had to be diffused with a fingertip after a few minutes (but before it set). It stayed on well for five hours and felt neither drying nor hydrating on me.
