Proxima

Lethal Cosmetics Proxima Pressed Multichrome Shadow ($16.50 for 0.056 oz.) is a brighter, pink multichrome that shifted from darker pink to peachy-pink to gold. It had more of a pearl-like sheen as the texture was slightly thin and more firmly-packed into the pan, though I didnít have any real issues getting product onto my brush for semi-opaque coverage, but I had a bit of fallout as it didnít readily adhere to bare skin as something denser would have. This shade stayed on well for seven and a half hours before showing signs of fading.

Formula Overview

$16.50/0.056 oz. – $294.64 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have “amazing pigmentation and easy blendability” that won’t crease or fade. The pigmentation varied from shade to shade as some were intentionally designed with translucent bases, so those were often sheerer initially and tended to use larger, more sparkly particles.

In general, the multichrome shifts were weaker and less apparent as many shades were pearl-like in their sheen, rather than ultra-shiny or intensely metallic as is more typical of multichrome eyeshadow releases. I think those who prefer a subtler sheen and aren’t locked in to having the most magical of multichrome shifting formulas will find this a nice option. On the flip side, anyone who already has multichrome eyeshadows from other brands and prefers intensity will likely find these to miss the mark.

Most shades had semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation with fairly blendable formulas that weren’t too powdery or too firmly-pressed into their pans, though they were sometimes a little too emollient or too thin. They wore around eight hours on average.

Event Horizon

Lethal Cosmetics Event Horizon Pressed Multichrome Shadow ($16.50 for 0.056 oz.) has a black base with multichrome shimmer that shifted from rich, bronzy gold to warmer bronze to copper to red wrapped up in a lightly metallic finish. It had rich pigmentation in a single layer, while the texture was smooth to the touch, firm but not too thick or too densely-packed into the pan. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly on me.

Dark Matter

Lethal Cosmetics Dark Matter Pressed Multichrome Shadow ($16.50 for 0.056 oz.) is a black-based multichrome that shifted from charcoal black to burnt orange to red to plum. There was also supposed to be teal in the shift range, but I wasnít able to spot it in person.

The texture was firmer, thinner, and oddly powdery, which resulted in a more satin-like finish that did not apply as evenly as desired. It had medium to semi-opaque, somewhat buildable pigmentation. It lasted for seven hours before fading a bit.
